2017 Hyundai Grand i10: Variants explained

The Hyundai Grand i10 facelift has arrived four years after the launch of Hyundai first entry-level B-segment hatchback. In its segment, the Grand i10 competes with the Swift and looking at the numbers, is the only car that has given a successful Maruti a run for its money. The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in five trims, two engine options and two gearbox options which are spread across a wide price range. So, here is a rundown on the variants, helping you choose the one that fits in your budget and gives you exactly what you want from the car.

Hyundai Grand i10 Era – Petrol Rs 4.58 lakh, Diesel Rs 5.68 lakh

Era is the entry-level trim and it gets both the petrol and diesel engine options with manual gearboxes. It gets engine immobiliser and driver airbag for safety and security. It gets power steering, front power windows and manual air-conditioning. You also have a 12V power outlet in the front. Body coloured bumpers are standard for the new Grand i10.

Hyundai Grand i10 Magna – Petrol Rs 5.23 lakh, Petrol AT 5.99 lakh, Diesel Rs 6.16 lakh

The Magna trim is next and in addition to the equipment list from the Era trim, you also get central locking with remote and front fog-lamps. Door handles and wing mirrors are body coloured and it gets wheel covers along with the roof mounted antenna but no music system. You get all-four power windows and AC vents for the rear passengers. The wing mirrors are electrically adjustable and you get a power outlet for the rear seats as well.

Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz – Petrol Rs 5.66 lakh, Diesel Rs 6.59 lakh

The Sportz trim comes with 5 inch touchscreen audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux connectivity along with steering mounted audio controls. It gets four speakers, chrome finished gear knob, metal interior door handles and rear defogger. You get a cooled glove box, tilt adjustable steering and a digital clock in the dashboard. The Sportz trim gets dual front airbags along with rear parking sensors.

Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz Option – Petrol Rs 5.96 lakh, Petrol AT 6.83 lakh, Diesel Rs 6.90 lakh

In addition to all the features mentioned above, it gets rear camera for parking assist, LED DRLs and alloy wheels but only for the petrol AT. You also get rub strips on the side, roof rails and turn indicators on the wing mirrors. The infotainment system becomes bigger and gets smartphone integration like Apple Car play and Android Auto along with voice commands. Diamond cut alloy wheels are standard.

Hyundai Grand i10 Asta – Petrol Rs 6.4 lakh, Diesel Rs 7.33 lakh

It gets a smart key with push-button start, chrome door handles, rear spoiler and leather wrapped steering wheel. It gets climate control, height adjustable driving seat and adjustable headrests for the rear seats as well. It gets wash and wipe for the rear windshield as well. Tinted glasses are standard across the range along with tachometer, low fuel warning, seat belt warning, two electronic trip meters and average speed but is still devoid of fuel economy numbers and distance to empty.
