Renault India Sales March 2026: 77% YoY Growth Driven by Duster Comeback

Renault Sales Surge 77% In March 2026, Duster Dispatch Begins

Renault India delivered a strong performance in March 2026, recording total sales of 5,046 units—a significant 77% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to 2,846 units in March 2025. However, sales dipped 15% month-on-month (MoM), indicating a slowdown after February’s strong run.

Triber Remains the Backbone

The Renault Triber continued to lead the brand’s lineup, with 2,011 units sold in March. This reflects a healthy 30% YoY growth, reinforcing its position as a key volume driver.

That said, the model experienced a 17% MoM decline, suggesting a natural correction following higher sales in the previous month.

Duster Relaunch Steals the Spotlight

The standout development for March was the return of the Renault Duster. The company dispatched 1,402 units during the month, marking a strong start for the revived SUV.

The Duster’s early performance indicates a transition from initial launch excitement to genuine customer demand—something that will be critical to watch in the coming months.

Kwid Faces Decline

At the entry-level end, the Renault Kwid recorded 449 units, reflecting a 16% YoY decline compared to 532 units in March 2025. This suggests continued pressure in the budget hatchback segment.

Outlook: A Stronger Portfolio Ahead

With the Duster’s comeback, Renault is strategically re-entering the competitive SUV segment that once played a major role in its success in India.

If the Duster maintains momentum and the Kiger continues to grow, Renault could significantly strengthen its portfolio in FY2026. Combined with the consistent performance of the Triber, the brand appears well-positioned for a more balanced and growth-oriented year ahead.
