Sources add that Bentley’s CEO Wolfgang Durheimer admitted that additional versions of the Bentaygaare being considered, and these could include a compact model along with a coupe version.
Although, there’s no confirmation as to whether the models have been approved for development internally, the render depicts how this compact version could look if it makes it into production. A sub-Bentayga model will enable the brand to heat up the competition that’s currently dominated by players like Jaguar’s F-Pace and BMW’s X3.
If the baby Bentayga gets to see the light of the day, then the market can expect it before the year 2020, and it could be underpinned by the MSB platform that’s due in the next generation Continental GT. The brand could also look at a Bentayga Coupe for an aggressive looking, performance-oriented version.
Durheimer also revealed earlier this year that the company is working on advanced design and engineering for the SUV equivalent of the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. Bentley is making sure it leaves no stones unturned when it comes to strengthening its SUV fleet, since it makes perfect financial sense as the SUV segment has gone from strength to strength for some time now.
