Audi has just announced that its Quattro GmbH performance and technology division will officially be renamed Audi Sport GmbH. With the new brand name, Audi will continue to manage the sporty RS models, the R8, customer race cars, customized road cars, and Audi Sport lifestyle products.
But the interesting bit is the announcement of 8 new performance models in the next 18 months. Now we are not exactly sure about which models, but considering Audi Sport is the division behind cars like the RS 3, RS Q3 crossover, RS 6, RS 7, TT RS, R8, and S8 plus, we have a hint on what’s in store. Amongst the other cars, the A6 and the A7 have just seen a facelift, so expect new models of the same coming out soon. One can also expect fast versions of the Q5 and the Q7 SUV’s.
