In India, Kia’s user car network now includes 100 locations

The used car market has seen significant growth in India especially post the Covid-19 pandemic when masses started to prefer personal mobility for their daily commuter instead of shared mobility solutions. This resulted in many auto manufacturers to venture into pre-owned car and two-wheeler businesses in the last 4-5 years.

Kia was one of the OEMs to join the list of user car verticals that was launched during the period. The South Korean carmaker has marked a new milestone in its pre-owned cars vertical business. With the opening of its 100th Kia Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) location, the company became one of the fastest OEMs in India to establish a network of 100 strong pre-owned vehicle locations.

This was accomplished in just three years. Underscoring the rise in consumer demand for certified, high-quality pre-owned vehicles, the company’s CPO network now covers over 70 cities and accounts for nearly 60% of Kia India’s retail footprint. “Crossing the mark of 100 outlets milestone for our Certified Pre-Owned network within three years in India is a strong testament to the trust customers place in the Kia brand,” Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said in reference to this accomplishment. Powered by exceptional quality, dependability, and trust, our CPO business has transformed into a strategic growth driver in this short time.

Kia Pre-Owned cars quality checks

Kia India’s Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles undergo a rigorous 175-point inspection to ensure they meet the brand’s strict quality standards. Only vehicles with less than 1,00,000 km on the odometer, a clean structural record, and compliance with Kia’s eligibility criteria receive certification. Each car is refurbished using genuine Kia parts and comes with verified ownership and service history, offering buyers superior transparency and peace of mind.

In addition to selling certified vehicles, Kia’s CPO locations offer a wide range of services, including the purchase, sale, and exchange of used cars from all manufacturers. The entire process is fully digital, supported by Kia’s industry-leading evaluation app that delivers fair, fast, and transparent assessments. Customers benefit from a smooth and secure exchange experience, complete with instant payments, hassle-free ownership transfers, and competitive, customized finance options.
