LG H871 with Snapdragon 820 benchmarked, is it the G6?

It was speculated that the LG G6 will use a Snapdragon 820 chipset as Samsung bought up all of the initial S835 supply. Now there’s some shaky evidence to support that speculation – an LG H871 has entered the GeekBench database with a S820 chipset and 4GB of RAM.

Of course, we don’t know for sure that the H871 is indeed the G6, it could be one of the trademarked G6 Lite and G6 Compact. Now, the chipset is a slightly newer revision than the Snapdragon 820s found in 2016 phones but that’s still a fairly minor upgrade over the G5 – Snapdragon 821 with 6GB of RAM isn’t hard to get. Also, the Android version was reported as 7.0, not even 7.1.

Now, there’s a rumor that the LG G6 will have different amounts of RAM depending on region – 6GB for North America and Europe, 4GB elsewhere.
