German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the ‘Celebration Edition’ GLC SUV in India to commemorate 70 years of Indian Independence. Prices for the new SUV start at Rs 50.86 lakh(Ex-showroom, India).
While this is the price for the GLC 220d, the GLC 300 has been priced at Rs 51.25 lakh (Ex-showroom, India). The exclusivity factor of the GLC ‘Celebration Edition’ is the ‘Designo hyacinth red’ paint job.

The GLC ‘Celebration Edition’ SUV will stand out from its regular counterpart due to the LED Logo projector, Exterior mirror housing in high gloss black, Sports pedals, GarminR MAP PILOT, High-sheen chromed trim and Rear trim strip in chrome.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is pitted against the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in the Indian market.
