Mahindra Achieves 25% Growth in January 2026 with 63,510 Units Sold

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.) has reported that its total auto sales for January 2026 reached 104,309 vehicles, reflecting a 24% increase, including exports. In the Utility Vehicles category, Mahindra sold 63,510 vehicles in the domestic market, marking a 25% growth, while the overall sales, including exports, totaled 104,309 vehicles. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles amounted to 27,656, showing a 22% increase.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., stated, “Building on the robust momentum from last year’s performance, we commenced the year strongly in January with SUV sales of 63,510 units, a 25% increase, and LCV< 3.5T sales of 27,656 units, a 22% rise. The total vehicle sales reached 104,309 units, reflecting a 24% year-on-year growth.

On January 14th, we initiated bookings for the XUV7XO and XEV 9S, achieving 93,689 bookings with a booking value of Rs. 20,500 Crore – a record-breaking achievement in just 4 hours.”

Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business has demonstrated significant growth in tractor sales for January 2026, driven by both domestic demand and export activity. The company sold 38,484 tractors in India, representing a 46% year-on-year increase compared to 26,305 units in January 2025. This performance underscores the resilience of the agricultural equipment sector and Mahindra’s sustained leadership in the domestic market.

When factoring in exports, total tractor sales reached 40,643 units, up from 27,557 units the previous year. Export volumes surged to 2,159 units, indicating a remarkable 72% growth. This substantial increase in international demand suggests that Mahindra’s tractors are gaining broader acceptance in global markets, contributing another facet to the company’s growth narrative.
