The new Nexon is available in four trims – XE, XM, XT, and XZ+, while there are five colours on offer, namely – Moroccan Blue, Vermont Red, Seattle Silver, Glasgow Grey and Calgary White. Tata is also offering a dual-tone option on the XZ+ trim with a gloss black finished roof.
The Nexon gets a 6.5-inch HD screen with a brand new user interface. The infotainment unit also gets android auto and apple car play, something that is expected of a car in this price range. You also get the 8 speakers Harman audio setup. The dashboard is two-tone with a black upper half and beige lower half with a large central plastic slab in the middle. This slab is painted in an almost liquid metal shade that also carries on to the steering wheel and the door panels tying up the design well. The central console that surrounds the audio and the climate control knobs are all finished in gloss black.
The Nexon comes with height adjustment for both the steering wheel and the driver’s seat. Sadly though, there is no leather interior option, even on the top of the line variant. You get a pair of individually adjustable rear AC vents and a flip down central console too along with a get a high mounted 12-volt charging port to add to the convenience in the rear seat.

Whereas, the new 1.5-litre diesel motor makes 108 bhp at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm of torque between 1500-2750 rpm. Initially, the car will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The Tata Nexon will go up against the likes of segment leaders Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport, along with other players like Mahindra TUV300 and even the Honda WR-V.
